The First Step,

Welcome to my journey around the United States. I know many of you would like to join me on this great trip, but are unable to. So, here is my gift to you. If you don’t mind some reading you can join me in spirit and support, through my blog.

Now I know a lot of people do cross country road trips throughout there life or several. These people may be very smart for they do not use as much time, planning or money. It makes sense to do a tour of National Parks. Who knew there are over 365? It also makes sense to have a goal like visiting wineries, or battlefields. Clearly, I have no specific goal.

I desire to see all there is to see in the continental United States before I go travel abroad again. I have been fortunate to travel some abroad as well as in the U.S. Therefore, there may be gaps in my adventure. I have lived in Alaska and visited Hawaii so they will sadly be left out of this trip.

As for the other 48 states, I look forward to seeing all I can see (Which I sadly feel is not possible in one year).

Right now I am in the planning stage, and what a frustrating place it is to be. Due to my location in the Peace Corps all planning will have to be done by Internet and word of mouth. ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME. In the last week I have given myself a rough budget, rough timeline, rough geographical plan in relation to seasons, and have begun the very frustrating process of highlighting activities I would like to do.

Welcome to my post Peace Corps adventure. I’ll keep you updated as I go.
