I made the drive up the 101to McKinleyville in quick time. I was going to stop in Fort Bragg and drive the Avenue if the Giants but I just wanted to get there. Also, I thought I would be going back down to the city later in the month.

Before I went to James’s I stopped at Starbucks in Eureka to see Kim, but she wouldn’t let me through the drive through. I was walking. I was a little PMS’y and not feeling great, but later that evening I got to meet Ashley and see Chris and Erin again while eating pizza.

I’m not sure the order in which we did things but in between trips to James’s we did do a lot. I met Sam and Ben whom I really wanted to meet. On Saturday I helped Kim participate in the 50mile bike ride of Tour of the Unknown Coast and got to know Ferndale. Sunday Kim, Ben, Megan and I played my first ever round of disc golf. In the evening we headed to the Cher-Ae Heights Casino where I picked a card that gave me 200 casino bucks with which I won $91. I also sang karaoke for the first time and Kim got asked to try out for a karaoke competition. We saw Singing In The Rain on the big screen at the Arcata Theater Lounge and I met Brooklyn. I also finally got to eat a Hole in the Wall sandwich which we took to the Marina. Then in one day we tried to see whales, went to the post office, I got to eat an It’s It ice cream, which I loved, some Have A Good Chips, and a Burrito at Rita’s with Chris and Erin. Good times.

During the week I got to try lots of yummy Starbucks treats including TONS of chocolate covered graham crackers. We also watched The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Adventures of Ichabod Crane and Mr. Toad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and a movie Hillary worked on. Not sure when I will be taking off for the rest of the road trip. I like being in California and there are still a few more things I would like to do before I leave.
